Noctis Lucis Seelam (originally the only one) is a playable character and the main character in Final Fantasy XV. Further, he is the crown prince and heir to the throne of Lucis, the kingdom ruled by Crystal. Thus, he could exercise the power of the Lucien kings. Also, he was first publishing for the canceled Final Fantasy vs. XIII, which turned out to be the last Fantasy XV universe. Noctis is King Regis’s son and travels with Gladiolus Amicitia, Ignis Scientia, and Prompto Argentina. He also marries Lunafreya Knox Fleuret and leaves for his homeless Altissia to strengthen a political union. He is embroiling in a conflict against the Niflheim Empire, and he must assume his duties and become king. Noctis treats his close friends as equals, initially tries to cope with his responsibilities, and sees his father as a role model.
Further, he tries to express his feelings that he likes to work alone. During the journey, his three colleagues note his enhanced confidence and how he has become more determined. Noctis is the main playable character. Also, he can arm himself with all the weapons, and the combat ascending sphere focuses only on him. Besides, Noctis can appeal to his Armiger to significantly increase his speed and strength. His leisure skill is fishing, which allows the player to participate in a mini-game through Lucius and Alicia.
Noctis Lucis Caelum: Appearance
Noctis is a young man with 176 cm black hair and blue eyes with red eyes. He is wearing a black jacket—zipper tag and sequin details in pockets. The jacket’s leopard is printing and does not appear on his sports model—also, trousers and black buckle boots, Red and black motorcycle gloves in his left hand. As a teenager, Noctis acquired a delicate and childish appearance with deep blue eyes and rings. After a serious injury, Noctis sometimes used a wheelchair.
Ten years later, Noctis’s facial features have warmed up, and he has a beard. His jaw is more square, and his complexion is rougher. He wears more formal and modern attire, matching his royal position. The black suit is accenting with gold ornaments, black and gold on the left shoulder, a gold knee guard around the left knee, and a cape with intricate gold chains and black shoes. So, this dress is similar to the one worn by his father, King Regis. But without stripes or neck ornaments to suit him.
Noctis Lucis Caelum: Personality
Although his three colleagues were not royal, Noctis generally regarded them as equals. However, his upbringing is different from that of his team as it reflects his body, physique, and posture. According to Final Fantasy XV Prologue Parting Way, Noctis’s personality changed after a childhood incident, and although he was previously a live child, he left most. During his adolescence, he seems constantly bored and uninterested in what was going on around him. Final Fantasy XV: According to Official Works, Noctis’s unsafe growth has weakened his interpersonal skills and struggles with everyone except his closest friends. Seeing his father’s service asking, Noctis respected the position and commitment of a good sovereign husband, fearing the time needed to assume the throne. And also turned it into an interactive struggle with his father.
In the Final Fantasy XV Collectors’ Edition Guidebook, Tabata describes that Noctis experienced loneliness at a young age and feared losing those close to him. Noctis’s words and actions often arise out of fear that he will not meet the expectations of those around him, but as a pre-equilibrium, he wants to please them. Tabata asked Yusuke Noura, the art director of Final Fantasy XV, to see Noctis as a real person natural to portray hanging more realistically than symbolically. Notis’s mother died when he was a child, and his father had to meet the kingdom’s demands, so Noctis felt lonely and stressed.
However, he admits that sacrifices must be made and is not bitter about it. Noctis is still trying to figure out who he is and trying to express his feelings. As Nocturne struggles with things, he avoids his duties or worries about his father’s illness, thus avoiding the problem of thinking about becoming the next king of Final Fantasy XV of the Brotherhood. When he admits that the situation is bad, his first instinct is to focus on himself rather than the people he should lead or his closest friends. He does not share the weight of grief over his loved ones’ death but instead tries to act alone, further isolating and pushing others.
As Gladiolus noted, he interests in what he enjoys and raises inflation. He may be careless. Others must hold him back, and this does not always stop him. Also, he is playful, especially with his best friend, Prompto. He is always contemptuous and sarcastic. At the end of Noctis’ journey, his friends note his greater confidence, and he becomes more intense and overbearing. He has learned to accept the responsibilities of his position and does so without hesitation.
Noctis Lucis Caelum: Abilities
Here, as heir to the throne of Lucis, Noctis could exercise the power of kings. Also, please share some of his power with his associates. However, due to his childhood disability, he could not reach the full potential of his power. The thin air demonstrates his use of weapons, and only he can use the stylized royal weapons of his ancestors. The power to use all of the weapons at once calling amigo, during which time his ancestors’ spirits empower him. He can travel short distances and fight through solid matter. He can derive elemental power from the environment and technical spells that those around him can access. But his true magical power is utilizing through Lucy, the mythical ring.
Noctis is the one who powers the party’s pots and pans, so they have healing properties. Without him, they would be just plain soda. The kings of Lucis make treaties with the star gods of Eos, and when Noctis does so, he can summon astronomers to help him. With the Ring of Lucy, Noctis learns three unique and powerful characters. Noctis is an excellent fighter, using all his weapons skillfully. Thus, he is adapting to synchronizing with other skills fighters to carry out powerful contact strikes.
